1. Online Software Download A. Software download availability - Software can be downloaded only through the campus wired network - Downloads are not available through the campus wireless network (KMU WiFi) B. Download methods(Common methods, excluding Section C below)
C. Software to be downloaded directly from the vendor 1) ALTools (excluding ALYac): See Section 3 below. Some products may also be downloaded from the University software distribution system 2) MATLAB: See Section 3 below 3) Autodesk: See Section 4 below Case1. Case2.(When a message indicating that guest access is blocked appears) Run → gpedit.msc → Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Network → Lanman Workstation → Enable insecure guest logons → Enabled → OK 2. On-site Software Loan Service * Visit the Information Planning Team, Room 403, International Building, to borrow software on USB or CD - To prevent unauthorized use or lending, the University verifies that the device is a University-owned asset before lending software, including checking for a University asset sticker 3. Software Installation and Usage Scope A. Software installable only on University-owned PCs (for on-campus use only) 1) ALTools (excluding ALYac; installing ALYac is unauthorized—please use AhnLab V3 antivirus instead) - ALPDF (including editing functions), ALZip, ALSee, and ALDrive: Download from the University software distribution system (without advertisements) or the vendor website (with advertisements) ** If only a PDF program with editing functions is required, please use ALPDF. Use of Adobe Acrobat is restricted ** - ALCapture, ALSong, mobile: Available only from the vendor website 2) MS Office, Hangul Office (Windows OS), V-Ray (Chaos Group software), Adobe - Adobe is available to faculty and staff only, following prior application through ON Kookmin → Administrative Approval B. Software installable on University-owned PCs and personal PCs for educational/class purposes 1) SAS: Available both on and off campus 2) SPSS - Network-license version: Available only through the campus wired or wireless network - Standalone version (individual license key): Available both on and off campus for faculty and staff only, following prior application through ON Kookmin → Administrative Approval 3) MATLAB: Available both on and off campus - Download: Access the Kookmin University MATLAB Portal using Chrome and a Kookmin University email account(Click) - Installation Guide: During installation, select license number 561273 (Click) - For RoadRunner access, contact extension 4274 4) Yoon Typeface (fonts): Available both on and off campus 4. Free Software Available for Personal PCs (not separately licensed by Kookmin University) A. Autodesk - Free for educational/classroom use. Register and install via the Autodesk Education website(www.autodesk.com/education). - Refer to the Autodesk website for installation and usage instructions. B. ALTools - Refer to the ESTsoft website for installation and usage instructions. |

The Information Planning Team cannot lend or install an operating system for: - PCs initially purchased without an operating system, such as self-assembled PC or Personal PC |
